How to Spend the Time Before Wimbledon

Fortunately, this time doesn’t have to be such a slog, and you might find that there are several ways to spend it that allow you to enjoy your interest in the sport in ways that you didn’t expect, meaning that your anticipation should be sky high when the tournament finally rolls around.

If fresh tennis content is what you’re looking for, there’s no reason that you can’t be the one to create that content yourself, by simply playing the game. All you need to do is find a local court, and a friend to play with, and you can get started. Not only does this give you a way to engage with a sport that you like, but it’s also a great form of exercise, and you might find that doing this regularly enough gives you a way to work out that you’re otherwise lacking. It never hurts to have new ways to have fun, especially when they have the added benefit of being good for you.

Without proper planning, it’s not easy to simply spontaneously go to a grand slam tennis tournament, but you might find that it’s a move that satiates your tennis appetite while you wait for Wimbledon. With the Australian Open in January, your next bet comes in May or June, with the French Open. There is quite the gap between these two, which you might find a difficult time, but it could also give you enough time to adequately prepare for the spring and summer tournaments in terms of travel and accommodation.
