Athena’s Reign Continues At ROH Death Before Dishonor
Hola a todos and welcome to the honor club! Last night at ROH Death Before Dishonor, we had the anticipated main event between the Interim ROH Women’s World Television Champion, Mina Shirakawa, looking for her revenge against the longest-reigning ROH Women’s World Champion, Athena.
Coming out of ECW Original The Blue Meanie, Athena had her minions with her ready to fight, but after dancing with her rival, she kicked him out of her ring, reminding everyone of what she came for.
Going tit-for-tat, both women took the first opportunity they had to work continuously on a body part, Athena’s working on Mina’s hand while Mina’s returned the favor, working on Athena’s leg.
The main event had every quintessential element from an Athena Main Event, from hard-hitting blows, outside-the-ring action, a lot of near falls, and, of course, ending with The Fallen Goddess getting the big win to retain her title and continuing her never-ending reign.
