Sean O’Malley Wants to Fight at UFC White House Event
The former UFC bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley is on a decline like never before.
He was dominatingly outplayed by Merab Dvalishvili on successive occasions, but the bitter taste of defeat hasn’t erased the urge to make a grand comeback.
He looks forward to fighting at the historic UFC event targeted to take place at the White House in June 2026.
O’Malley feels he is one solid win away from securing this opportunity. The targeted opponent is Cory Sandhagen who has been booked to fight Merab Dvalishvili at UFC 320 on 4th October. Dana White was generous enough to give a glimpse into the historic event. Below is a potential visual of the UFC White House event:
Sean O’Malley on Comeback
Recently on his own podcast BrO’Malley, Sean O’Malley expressed his interest in fighting at the historic UFC event.
“I want to fight within the next four or five months, whatever it is, and then I’ll also be ready for that because they said it could be June, it could be International Fight Week. They said it could be July. So, if I can get one in early next year or end of this year, one of the two, count me in. I want to be on that card. Being on the Sphere card, being on the White House card, these are just legendary moments. I would absolutely love to be on that card”.
To fill in the gap, the former champion may proceed fighting someone from the top 5 or 10 in the bantamweight division and after breaking out of the losing streak his urge to be part of history could seamlessly materialize. He has also mentioned his intentions of moving up a division – it will be interesting to see the swift changes he makes in the near future.
