Tony Khan Discusses AEW Dynamite Travel Disruptions from Tropical

As Tropical Storm Debby continues to interrupt travel plans, AEW President Tony Khan has given an update about what may be in store for tonight’s “AEW Dynamite.” The event, which is set to take place in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, faces logistical issues with flight cancelations and delays affecting the arrival of wrestlers.

However, Khan has reassured fans that all advertised talent is on-site or will arrive soon. “Several AEW wrestlers are having trouble getting to tonight’s ‘AEW Dynamite’ due to flight cancellations,” Khan said on his X social media account.

“Fortunately, everyone announced for tonight’s show is here or en route. I held back other announcements, expecting travel havoc & will shuffle as needed. See you on TBS tonight!”

Wrestlers Battle Travel Woes

The unexpected weather conditions led some wrestlers to take extreme measures.

MJF, a prominent figure in AEW’s roster, revealed that he drove ten and a half hours to reach North Carolina. Tonight, he is scheduled to face off against Kyle Fletcher as he builds momentum toward his American Championship defence against Will Ospreay at All In.

Other wrestlers, such as The Acclaimed’s Anthony Bowens and Mariah May, who is set to face Viva Van – have confirmed their attendance, indicating a near-full lineup despite the storm’s interferences. Among several highly-anticipated matches on the card for tonight’s show is an “Anything Goes” match between Bryan Danielson and Jeff Jarrett.
