Eric Bischoff Praises Working with ‘Fearless’ Stephanie McMahon in WWE

Stephanie McMahon’s growth in the WWE has been a transition from Vince McMahon’s daughter to a powerful person backstage and in front as well. As the General Manager of WWE SmackDown, she was heavily involved in the storylines, often at odds with the General Manager of WWE Raw, Eric Bischoff.

Apart from professional lingo cool, they had a ‘real life’ rivalry and this was made even more interesting by the fact that the two leaders could not be any more different. In one of the recent episodes of his podcast “83 Weeks”, he mentioned McMahon and how intimately he worked with her and enjoyed it.

“I just loved working with her,” Bischoff said. “There’s no other besides Steve Austin and Mick Foley I have worked with and enjoyed as much”.

McMahon Fearless Authenticity

He also averred that McMahon was different from the others in that she knew her character, such that she lived it and did not just act it.

He emphasized that this quality in her is very similar to Paul Heyman, where it is not only the lines that are returned, but the person behind the lines is seen. Bischoff made point that ass being ‘emotionally fearless’ is very helpful in professional wrestling and McMahon, he stated, was that.

“You have to be freaking fearless, I mean emotionally fearless,” Bischoff continued. “She was fearless. She didn’t think twice, she didn’t second-guess, and it shows on the screen”. Bischoff’s respect for McMahon went beyond her contribution to the performance.

He understood the reasons for which she would go to great lengths very early in her career and appreciated her fearlessness and commitment to the business. Although McMahon does not have any official position in WWE at the moment, she is still there.

Paul “Triple H” Levesque in all his interviews indicates that she is in discussions concerning the creative aspect of WWE.
