Alexander Zverev takes legal actions in Russia against those speaking ill of him

Alexander Zverev is confident the ATP’s investigation will soon finish and his name will be cleared. Zverev’s ex-girlfriend Olya Sharypova accused Zverev of domestic violence but Zverev has adamantly been denying those allegations since Day 1.
“I’m sure it will be settled relatively soon. We are also taking legal actions in Russia against those speaking ill of me. The truth always comes out,” Zverev told tennis MAGAZIN.

Zverev was more than happy after the ATP launched an investigation into his case in October.
“Bloody [time] finally to be honest,” said Zverev, during his news conference ahead of the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells. “I have been asking them myself for months now. I have been asking them to do that since London last year because it is very hard for me to clear my name.
“Only with something like this I can. It has been around for a year and there is not much more I can do to clear my name and I hope this will finally do it”.
The ATP announced an investigation into Zverev in October

The recommendations of the Safeguarding Report will help us approach this in a robust way. We are committed to making meaningful steps forward and know this won’t be an overnight process”. Calvelli added: “The allegations raised against Alexander Zverev are serious and we have a responsibility to address them.
