That rare collapse said more about the Crimson Tide’s ceiling than the Cougars’ flaws. Since Marcus Sasser’s (15.9 PPG) return from injury, Houston has been an efficient offense, with a defense ranked second in adjusted efficiency on KenPom. UCF (49th) and Memphis (32nd) are the only AAC teams with top-50 rankings on KenPom, which means Houston’s season could end without another conference loss, and set up a strong argument for a top seed in the NCAA tournament.
