Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has picked out the starting XI of his ultimate German Premier League team and it is a pretty impressive side.
Not all of the stars of Gundogan’s team actually shone in the Premier League, but if they didn’t show their best on these shores, they returned to Germany to make the most of their talents.
Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City, Liverpool and Tottenham players of the Premier League era made the cut for Gundogan, who also put his own name on the team sheet in a loose 3-4-3 formation..
‘Jens Lehmann is the goalkeeper that I have picked,’ Gundogan told the Manchester City website.

‘Ahead of those two, I have gone for myself and Mesut Ozil.

‘Left wing, Leroy [Sane] I don’t know if you guys remember him!
‘Striker, Jurgen Klinsmann, he’s a legend in Germany but I’m a little bit…
