Jurgen Klopp has reportedly penned fresh terms at Liverpool which will see him extend his stay at the club until 2026.

It had always been Klopp’s intention to leave Anfield when his current terms end in the summer of 2024 and he pressed that fact home as recently as March, saying: ‘that will be me, thank you very much.’

But The Athletic now claim the German and his staff have prolonged their agreements with the club by two years in a dramatic U-turn following their initial intentions to depart. 

Indeed, Klopp seemed to confirm the news with a teaser video on Liverpool’s own Twitter channel, as he referenced the lyrics of the song fans serenade the German with at Anfield.
