The American cardiologist, Doctor Peter McCullough, has defended Novak Djokovic’s position on COVID-19 vaccines, since he assures that they can cause damage to the heart. Djokovic, 35, has not been vaccinated against COVID-19 and is at risk of missing the US Open due to his vaccination status.

Under current US immunization laws, foreigners are required to show proof of immunization upon entering the country. “COVID-19 vaccines, all of them, in the medical literature, there are over 200 articles, they all cause damage to the heart and that’s the last thing an athlete can risk,” Dr.

McCullough said in a conversation with Dave Martin on NTD News, as quoted by Sportskeeda. “Heart damage can lead to heart failure or, tragically, sudden death. It is clear that he has made the right decision and the vaccine injuries go beyond the heart.

There can be damage to the sleketal muscle, the nerves, the brain, so much of what an elite tennis player is is at risk when they get vaccinated with COVID-19. They shouldn’t have any more restrictions than the general public.

A work of NCAA athletes has been published on the tests that are performed routinely. Athletes have a lower rate of COVID-19 than the general student population,” added Dr. McCullough. Meanwhile, Djokovic is resting after winning Wimbledon.

Djokovic could be out until the fall, as there’s a good chance he won’t be allowed to compete at the Montreal and Cincinnati Masters, as well as the US Open.

Nole won 21 Grand Slams

“I think Novak Djokovic has got a huge amount of fans,” Laura Robson told Tennis365 at a Play Your Way To Wimbledon event.

“Every time I commentate on one of his matches, my Twitter blows up because there are so many people who are die hard fans of his. They are committed. I do feel like he has a lot of fans. Compared to Nadal and Federer, they might not be as vocal in stadiums, but people just know them better from years and years of watching them.
