Medvedev reveals how is Rublev doing as his girl’s godfather

Asked on Tennis Channel about how is Andrey Rublev doing as his girl Alisa’s godfather, Medvedev described Rublev as a responsible guy. “I don’t know. He’s a good guy. Sometimes he exaggerates what he thinks about himself. He is a very responsible and great guy and a great friend.
He’s doing great so far. Let’s see when Alisa grows up how it’s going to be,” said Medvedev.

Rublev became godfather in April this year.”In the end it was a really important step because the priest made such an important speech about my responsibilities that I could only think: If I have to do all this, what should I do Daniel then?” he joked ironically.
Rublev had only words of admiration for Medvedev, even when he lost against him in the Dubai 2023 final.”He’s a real, real great inspiration because he’s very educated, he’s very smart guy.
Yeah, the way he play tennis, you can learn a lot of things by watching him. I think he brings funny moments. I think he brings entertainment because sometimes the way he acts, he do a bit – I don’t know – not standard things.
Sometimes I feel he have no coordination. When he do the weird things on court, they look so funny,” Rublev said.
Medvedev and Rublev at Wimbledon
Both Daniil Medvedev and Andrey Rublev got into the quarterfinals of Wimbledon.
Rublev will face Novak Djokovic, who kicked out Hubert Hurkacz, while Medvedev will play against Chris Eubanks, who eliminated Stefanos Tsitsipas.
