Frazer Clarke, Britain’s super-heavyweight bronze medallist at last summer’s Tokyo Olympics, has turned professional with the fast-expanding Boxxer promotion company.
The 30-year-old heavyweight – who won bronze in Tokyo this summer – has signed with promotional company BOXXER, with his fights set to be shown on Sky Sports, and will make his bow on the undercard of Amir Khan’s grudge match with Kell Brook on February 19.
Staffordshire’s Clarke continued to enjoy a successful amateur career after being passed over for the 2016 Rio games in favour of Joe Joyce.

Clarke is a late bloomer in the sport but is confident he can put on a show and make an immediate impact on the sport after going from bouncer to boxer – admitting he has used his experience as a security guard to ‘study’ the best fighters out there.
‘What people don’t realise about me is I’ve been fighting since I was 11 years old,’ he said. ‘Everything I do is calculated. The security job – I can say it now because I can’t get fired – was just to get me front row for these pro shows! I couldn’t afford the tickets, that’s the honest truth.
