Brisbane Broncos forward Thomas Flegler has confessed he must work on his defensive discipline or face being suspended out of the NRL after adding to his long rap sheet in a nightmare outing against the Warriors.
Flegler was placed on report four times and sin binned for a cannonball tackle on Josh Curran in his first game back for the 2022 season.
Flegler was returning from a four-game suspension for a careless high tackle charge on Cronulla’s Jack Williams in round 24 last year.
The Queenslander picked up where he left off discipline-wise in his side’s 20-6 loss against the Warriors on Saturday afternoon.

Flegler was suspended twice in the 2021 NRL season, missing six games in a forgettable year for the Broncos.
The NRL match review committee hit Flegler with three charges of dangerous contact, resulting in two $1000 fines and a two-game ban.
He can choose to fight the charge he copped for a hip-drop tackle on Ben Murdoch-Masila but if he loses, the ban will be extended to three matches.
Flegler admits his NRL career is in jeopardy if he can’t rein in his aggression.
‘I need to do better with my discipline, it’s as simple as that,’ Flegler told the Courier Mail.
