Cody Rhodes Blasts Solo, Challenges The Rock Pre-SummerSlam

Cody Rhodes is preparing to defend his WWE Championship and settle scores within the Anoa’i wrestling dynasty as WWE’s SummerSlam draws near. Solo Sikoa poses a major challenge to Rhodes this weekend after he claimed the championship from Roman Reigns in WrestleMania months ago.
According to many observers, Sikoa has been at odds with him in a continuation of the WrestleMania storyline, in which Reigns defeated him. Having won over Rhodes during July’s Money in the Bank main event, Sikoa clearly earned the right to challenge for the title, bringing his renegade faction from “WWE SmackDown” into prominence.
Rhodes also discussed the upcoming fight with ESPN. “And this hopefully, [laughter] an entertaining one –is sort of like what we got at WrestleMania,” said Cody Rhodes, who revealed that he was not afraid of challenging those he thinks are only pretending to be kings.
“The Tribal Chief I beat was really Roman Reigns himself, but now I aim to defeat another impostor, Solo Sikoa; you can watch me do it this Sunday at SummerSlam”.

However, Rhodes faces other battles besides Sikoa.
He also targeted Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, yet another big-name member of the Anoa’i family. In a shocking twist at WrestleMania, The Rock made a surprise return to WWE action after 11 years and was able to pin Rhodes just before his title win on one night.
The following day on WWE Raw, they had their first confrontation, ending with The Rock hinting that they had unfinished business. In response, Rhodes sent a direct warning signal for any possible showdown between him and The Rock: “If you’re also someone in The Bloodline, perhaps named The Rock”, suggested that if anyone else wants to become head of the tribe next, then they will end up just like him because they are equal to each other.
