Manchester City have not ended their pursuits of Tottenham talisman Harry Kane or Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland but they will wait for the summer, according to reports.

City have been long-term admirers of the pair and are light in out-and-out centre forward options following the departure of Sergio Aguero earlier this year.

But Pep Guardiola’s side will not make a move for a new striker next month, according to ESPN.

City have already lost forward Ferran Torres to Barcelona as he sealed a £55million switch to the Nou Camp this week and they did not replace Aguero, who also exited for the LaLiga side in the summer.

The Premier League leaders failed in their pursuit of England captain Kane even though the striker was keen to move.
