Recently, Alicia Atout secured the support of Thunder Rosa a previous AEW Women’s World Champion during her ongoing trip to Europe. La Mera Mera, as she is fondly called by many fans, posted a picture she took with Atout on X (previously Twitter) along with an emotional message.
Since her debut in the company last year, Thunder Rosa has been one of the cornerstones of All Elite Wrestling’s women’s division. Although she won’t be wrestling at Wembley Stadium for the upcoming AEW All In pay-per-view event in London, Rosa made sure that her presence was felt even though she wasn’t there.
The post shared also had a caption that showed how close they are as friends. Rosa wrote: “Mi comadre ❤️ it’s crazy to have to come to Europe to see my girl 🥰 @AliciaAtout I got your back carnala 😘”.
Rosa Reflects on Edge
This comes at a time when Thunder Rosa has less in-ring action following her recent victory over Deonna Purrazzo after an intense feud storyline together. However, this doesn’t mean only those who work with her in AEW are concerned about what is going on around them because during an interview with Busted Open Radio, she expressed worries over WWE Hall of Famer Adam Copeland aka Edge who got injured badly during AEW Double or Nothing and will be out indefinitely until he recovers.
She spoke about how much it saddens someone considering his positive attitude backstage which he shares with other wrestlers and teaches them different wrestling skills plus tactics on how to handle various situations while inside the ring doing matches against different opponents.
“It makes me so sad because he’s [Adam Copeland] so positive in the locker room,” she said. “He gives us lectures on what to do in the ring and how to handle some things. It’s sad that he’s not going to be with us for a minute.
Hopefully, this is not a career-ending injury and we can see him making a big comeback”. With Thunder Rosa doing other things outside…
