“To be completely honest, this is a moment that I still struggle to remember today without getting excited. I have to pinch myself, otherwise, it makes me think it was just a dream.

Being chosen to referee that match filled me with pride, I had never been so nervous in my entire life. We were all aware that a legendary show was going to come out, so the tension was really sky high. People are still asking questions about that dispute, testifying to the enormous impact it has had.

It was undoubtedly the best moment of my career” – said Elias. “The match between Taker and HBK was a sort of icing on the cake for me. I had to do the apprenticeship for many years, I worked in the independent circuit for very little money, I happened to drive for hours and hours just to earn a few dollars, in addition to having often slept in the car.

That match elevated me to a higher main event status for the rest of my career. I will never forget the sensations I felt. In some ways, I will always be tied to Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker. It is as if you have been blessed.
