Gunther explains how the WWE product has changed

[ad_1]

Gunther is in his fifth year as an active member of the WWE roster, where he first became the face of NXT UK holding the UK Championship for 870 days, then in the main roster where for 666 days he was Intercontinental Champion then ceding the scepter to Sami Zayn at WrestleMania XL.

Even without titles, he is currently one of the wrestlers to consider… Especially considering that he has already announced his participation in the King of the Ring Tournament. Fightful reports that the podcast “Gorilla Position” Gunther was asked a very specific question about WWE management branded Vince McMahon, and the Ring General certainly did not hide behind a finger.

Gunther has considerable potential

The question was very direct: Gunther was asked if he believed that he would have had a similar kingdom if Vince McMahon had been still at the helm. And although his answer was initially vague, it left no room for doubt.

“I don’t know,” said the Austrian. “But it was one of the reasons why, for a long time, I didn’t want to go to the United States. The product, before Triple H, was not what I liked and I just didn’t want to be a part of it: I am who I am, and it’s what I do best.

I need to have my time in the ring, to have the time necessary to set up matches as best I can… This possibility I would not have had under the old regime”. Gunther is a born talent, and from his words I can see a Triple H who has been able to grasp this talent.

“Triple H always saw this in me, and he always had that vision for me. I was lucky, because many things in my career happened at the right time. When I moved to the USA for the first time, I took a little leap of faith and in the end it all worked out”.
