Nick Diaz is planning on making another sensational return to the octagon for later this year and he wants to face the pound-for-pound king – Kamaru Usman.
The 38-year-old has only fought once since 2015 – a TKO defeat by Robbie Lawler at UFC 266 back in September – and now wants a blockbuster bout for when he makes a comeback for the ‘end of this year’.
Despite his lack of activity in UFC, the legendary Californian fighter wants a title shot against the Nigerian Nightmare.

When asked if he was planning a return to the octagon, Diaz told TMZ Sports: ‘We’re working on the end of the year.’
The UFC veteran also revealed he’s not looking to make a comeback against one of the ‘young guys’, insisting that he has bigger fish to fry given his age.
‘I don’t need to go in there and get my ass whooped by one of them young guys anyway, and it’s not that I won’t win,’ Diaz added. ‘It’s just I’m not motivated.
‘I want fight for the title. I don’t want do all this – I’m 38 years old.’
