Arsenal star Bukayo Saka has handed England a major boost by returning to training just three days after going off injured against Nottingham Forest.
The 21-year-old hobbled off inside the opening half hour of Arsenal’s 5-0 win at the Emirates Stadium after taking a knock in an early challenge with Renan Lodi.
There were fears that Saka, who is a shoo-in for selection in Gareth Southgate’s squad for Qatar, could potentially miss the tournament.

Such concerns appear to have been allayed, though, with the winger back in training at London Colney on Wednesday.
Saka broke into a light jog and appeared untroubled by the kick that he took on the weekend as he joined his team-mates on the training pitch.
Mikel Arteta subsequently confirmed Saka is available for Arsenal’s Europa League match against FC Zurich on Thursday, with the Gunners needing a point to secure top spot in their group and avoid a potentially tough tie in the play-off round.
Saka has only started two of Arsenal’s five games in Europe this season and Arteta may be tempted to rest him once more rather than rushing him back into action.
