Huge update on WWE Backlash

WWE has not been afraid to make many changes in the last two years, revolutionizing even the format of the most prestigious shows on the calendar. A few days ago, the news was announced that the 2026 edition of the Royal Rumble will take place in Saudi Arabia. This confirms Triple H’s desire to export the product outside the US borders and to strengthen the link with a country that can guarantee truly significant revenues until 2028.
The latest rumors also concern WWE Backlash, the Premium Live Event held after WrestleMania and which is of significant importance for the continuation of the season. The 41st edition of the ‘Showcase of the Immortals’ will take place in Las Vegas on April 19 and 20, promising to give fans plenty of excitement and surprises.
New details on WWE Backlash
There is no certain news about Backlash, but Bad Bunny may have let slip a very important clue. In a recent interview with ‘Rolling Stone’, Bad recalled his ‘Street Fight Match’ against Damian Priest at 2023 Backlash and teased that the next edition of this major event should take place in Mexico.
Bunny seems really certain of this news, which has neither been confirmed nor denied for the moment.
In the same interview, Bad also spoke about his desire to return to WWE in the near future: “I want to do it one more time. I want to put my life at risk in the ring. I felt like I didn’t risk it enough in the ring, and I want to do it. I want to scare my mother. When? I don’t know. We stay in contact with the people at WWE, we’re always paying attention to what’s going on. But when, I don’t know.”
During his brief stint in WWE, Bunny has shown that he has an uncommon talent and can aspire to become a great wrestler.
We will see if the parties find an agreement for 2025 and if fans can witness yet another memorable surprise.
