John Cena Set to Face Top WWE Star on Retirement Tour

John Cena, the most iconic figure in wrestling, is getting ready for his much-awaited retirement tour that will put the ex-WWE champion against some of the biggest names ever in wrestling for the first time. Cena made an announcement and with five months remaining in 2024, WWE fans have already moved to 2025.
The announcement was made by Cena during a Money in the Bank Premium Live Event (PLE) held in Toronto. In a tweet from this account, John Cena confirmed that 2025 would be his last year as an active wrestler in WWE. This means that he plans on retiring as a full-time competitor after being part of the main roster for twenty-three years since 2002.
This does not give any specific date when Cena will retire but confirms that his retirement from major PLE such as Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber and WrestleMania will happen next year. According to early estimates, it is anticipated that the journey through retirement will go through January up until December in 2025 where about forty events are estimated to be held during this period involving John Cena’s participation all through.
Ever since news broke about Cena’s coming retirement, many wrestlers have said they want one more match or even team up with him before he goes. Unfamiliar people who have not shared ropes with John Cena before now want their chance while fighting “The Greatest of All Time” according to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).
