Tony Khan Balances AEW and Major Media Deals

AEW CEO Tony Khan wears many hats, serving as an executive not only at All Elite Wrestling but also at Jacksonville Jaguars and Fulham F.C. Even with such a heavy timetable, Khan is still devoted to all of the things. In an exclusive to AMNY, he discussed how his passion for wrestling sustains him through the day-to-day grind of long trips and meetings.
“I love wrestling; that surely helps. You know, it feeds the fire, and there is no break in the fire, 24/7,” Khan stated in an interview conducted by AMNY. “While doing all this, you can love pro wrestling and its business, loving the fans and the wrestlers”.
He also said how crucial the team around him is: “We have great people as the staff, wonderful people and family that we created in AEW and it starts with the fans”.
AEW Busy Schedule
Khan enjoys very busy hours as AEW is running three shows every week.
‘AEW Rampage’ is a show that gets recorded mostly after in-person ‘Dynamite,’ so most of the time, the AEW team travels a lot. Despite the demanding travel, Khan is handling important negotiations concerning the growth of the company.
Come the year 2025, AEW will be in search of more content rights from Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) and other interested parties. Some news makes it known that the contract regarding WBD is almost complete. There are also talks of making some AEW content available on WBD MAX.
Moreover, there are whispers that AEW and Fox may be in talks to reach some sort of agreement. Fox, who recently lost “WWE SmackDown,” might be looking for a new AEW show, which could be called “Shockwave”.
It is still unclear whether this agreement would be directly with Fox, FS1, or another one of its diets. Despite the hectic schedule and numerous responsibilities, Khan’s passion for professional wrestling and his team fuels him to push forward.
