Jack Nowell will bring something different to England from the wing and will look to make an impact

Forgotten man Jack Nowell will bring something different from the wing while Harry Randall’s speed and try-machine Alex Dombrandt are both threats… three England players with a point to prove against Italy

  • England take on Italy on Sunday and some players will have something to prove
  • Forgotten man Jack Nowell is set to make his first start for England since 2019
  • Youngsters Harry Randall and Alex Dombrandt will look to seize the opportunity

England will be looking to get their Six Nations campaign back on track with a victory against Italy on Sunday.

Eddie Jones has made six changes from the side that lost to Scotland last week and here, Sportsmail looks at those looking to make an impact.

 Jack Nowell (28), Wing

I haven’t seen him this sharp since 2016,’ Jones said of Nowell. ‘He has that work rate and bounce in his step.’

Saturday will be Nowell’s first England since 2019. Injuries have made him England’s forgotten man, but he is back fit and has lost weight by cutting out alcohol.

He brings something new to England from the wing. He has four tries in his last four against Italy, so they know what’s coming. The question is, can they stop him?

Harry Randall (24) Scrum-half

Eddie Jones’ selection of the 24-year-old Bristol scrum-half points to his desire to play a fast, more expansive game against Italy. Such a prospect will no doubt enthuse England supporters as Randall gets ready to step in for the veteran Ben Youngs, who drops to the bench.

It will be just his third cap and he must seize this chance to impress after jumping ahead of Raffi Quirke in the pecking…
