The red-hot United States men’s national team returns to action on Tuesday with a World Cup qualifier at Jamaica (5 p.m. ET on Paramount+), with Gregg Berhalter’s team looking to build off of Friday’s huge 2-0 win over Mexico. The Americans find themselves atop the table in Concacaf and well on their way to the tournament in Qatar, but there is still work to be done. A victory here would likely make the United States a lock for at least the intercontinental playoff, though direct qualification is expected.

Here’s are storylines, how you can watch the match and more:

How to watch and odds

  • Date: Tuesday, Nov. 16| Time: 5 p.m. ET
  • Location: Independence Park — Kingston, Jamaica
  • Live stream: Paramount+
  • Odds: Jamaica +480; Draw +240; USA -175 (via Caesars Sportsbook)

Storylines

Jamaica: The Reggae Boyz aren’t out of it yet, but boy do they have some work to do. A 1-3-3 record has been an awful start, but they’ve earned points in their last three games. If they can get something here, they’ll have a shot. But for that to happen, they are likely going to need at least a goal. They’ve got three goals in their last two games, but they let three points slip away at El Salvador on Friday, conceding in the 90th minute. They must do better defending crosses, especially in the air, and they must remain compact in defense with the U.S. possessing the players to cause damage down the wings.

USMNT: This team has certainly hit its stride and has a tremendous amount of confidence….
