Spencer Knight has had a tough year and he has been one of the bigger fantasy disappointments this season. He has a 12-7-3 recored with a 2.88 goals-against average and .906 save percentage. Just 15 goaltenders averaged as higher picks than him on Yahoo prior to the season.

Knight has made four straight starts because Sergei Bobrovsky hasn’t felt quite right. Bobrovsky has been in the lineup as the backup and the team doesn’t play again until Thursday at Montreal. Knight’s run will probably come to an end once Florida’s five-day break ends, but his improved play should get him more action down the road.

The dealing continued on Friday, as Monday’s trade deadline draws closer. The Tampa Bay Lightning acquired Brandon Hagel from Chicago along with two fourth-round picks (2022 and 2024) in exchange for Boris Katchouk, Taylor Raddysh and two first-round picks (2023 and 2024, which are both top-10 protected. The Bolts paid a premium for Hagel, who should provide some additional scoring as a middle-six forward.

The Senators ended a three-game losing skid and stretched the Flyers’s winless slump on the road to 12 straight matches.

Alex Formenton produced one goal and one assist. His shorthanded empty-netter sealed the win for Ottawa. He concluded the contest with five shots.
