Drew McIntyre Addresses Photo with AEW Jack Perry

Drew McIntyre has never surrendered in his feud with CM Punk, and he has often tried to push the right buttons on Punk. McIntyre used various strategies, from making fun of Punk’s injury to borrowing some of his jewelry and bullying him.

For instance, there was a time he posted a picture with Jack Perry, the AEW TNT Champion, who fought with Punk in August 2022. This fight is recorded as part of the events that led to Punk getting fired from AEW. Even though McIntyre apologized for the post and stated that the photo was deleted, the incident is quite an impressive picture.

This event was discussed in one of the latest episodes of “Gorilla Position,” and McIntyre’s comments on the photo with Perry were particularly interesting. McIntyre defended himself, saying that the fact that he met Jack Perry was an accident and nothing more.

“[We were] on the same flight; he was just right before me,” McIntyre narrated. “I spoke with him. Wonderful child. His girlfriend’s [Anna Jay] is very nice. [We were] going to Los Angeles, and I went: ‘Let’s be in a picture.

We are both wrestlers. I am going to post that on the internet and give you some business. It was nuts out there. That internet”.

Punk Settles Score

Probably, the picture together with the bracelet incident drove Punk to finally settle the score with McIntyre.

Last Saturday at Bash in Berlin, he defeated McIntyre in a four-corner strap match, a win that may finally put an end to their fight. Regarding Jack Perry, the AEW TNT Champion was in quite the record-setting match at All In during which he defended his title in a Coffin Match against Darby Allin.

Then, in what looked like a direction for a match between Perry and AEW World Champion Bryan Danielson, Perry attacked Danielson on “AEW Dynamite”. Notably, this match will occur in Punk’s hometown of Chicago, Illinois, adding another twist to the existing storyline.
