Russian 15-year-old sensation Kamila Valieva made history as the first female figure skater in Winter Olympic history to land a quadruple jump.
Competing in the team event, where the Russian Olympic Committee had already sealed the gold medal ahead of the United States and Japan, she perfectly a quadruple salchow at the start of her free skate.
Valieva, who has been setting records since making her figure skating debut six months ago has frequently landed the move in competitions before Beijing.

She made three attempts at the quadruple salchow, landing the move again on her second attempt before falling on her final effort.
The teenager also successfully produced a triple Axel jump, making her just the fourth woman in history to land the move at the Winter Olympics.
