Kurt Angle pays tribute to Ronda Rousey

When Ronda Rousey decided to start a new career in professional wrestling, many were skeptical of her. The Riverside champion has denied many fans and insiders, putting herself at the service of Vince McMahon and immediately demonstrating a good attitude.
Ronda played her first WWE match at WrestleMania 34, defeating Stephanie McMahon and Triple H paired with the legendary Kurt Angle. On August 19, 2018, at SummerSlam, she won the Raw Women’s Championship to general amazement, keeping it for 232 days.
After nearly three years of inactivity, she returned to the ring on January 29, 2022, winning the Women’s Royal Rumble match. A guest on the latest edition of ‘The Zaslow Show’, Kurt Angle admitted he was surprised by ‘Rowdy’ performance.

“Ronda Rousey has adapted to wrestling a lot better than we could imagine. The emotional and psychological component plays a fundamental role in this business if you know what I mean. I was really surprised by his ability to learn quickly.
Her progress has been enormous and hardly anyone expected it. She has always been a formidable champion, but it was not taken for granted that wrestling would become her habitat. Adapting so quickly to a new context is not for everyone” – explained Kurt Angle.
The former Olympic gold medalist also said good words for AJ Styles: “Let me tell you something about AJ Styles, of whom I am a huge fan. All those who had the opportunity to work with him had a great time. He manages to create terrific chemistry with anyone.
He may not yet be at the level of a legend like Shawn Michaels, but he will join him from here to the end of his career. AJ is a truly exceptional performer”. Angle officially retired at WrestleMania 35, after losing his last match to Baron Corbin.
