Kurt Zouma was forced to pull out of West Ham’s starting line-up against Leicester during the warm-up as he was feeling unwell.

West Ham manager David Moyes picked the Frenchman to start Sunday’s game against Leicester, which ended 2-2, in what would have been his second consecutive start since a video emerged of him kicking his pet cat.

The 27-year-old Zouma pulled up, spoke to West Ham physios and went back down the tunnel with his team-mates still preparing out on the pitch.

West Ham said that Zouma felt unwell and he was replaced by Issa Diop. He was reportedly having problems with his vision and feeling sick.

The match ended with a dramatic equaliser for West Ham as they ensured their pursuit of a top four finish remained on track.

But while Zouma played no part in the four-goal thriller, Sky pundit Jamie Carragher felt it was a ‘mistake’ to select him in the first place. 

‘They’re going to pick Zouma, we know that but I think that was a big mistake,’ Carragher said. 

‘As soon as he played against Watford he was going to play in this game. He mentioned something about other players. 

‘I was at a club when we had an incident and a lot of the time football clubs…
