Paul Heyman reflects on his future

Speaking with Richard Deitsch on the Sports Media podcast, Paul Heyman revealed that he signed a long-term deal with WWE in 2021. “It was public knowledge that my contract expired last year and I kept it under wraps because I didn’t.

I’m one of those people who, A, want to negotiate in public and B, I’ve been reading a lot lately about who signed up and for how long and for how long, and I don’t want to be those people. That’s all I’m going to say: I re-signed with WWE last year.

It was a long-term deal. They created a situation where I would have been a fool not to take their offer. I’m stuck for a while. This has been the case for a long time for me because I do external projects because I like multi-task and I can’t focus on one thing ever in my life.

I’ve made exceptions to allow myself to do other projects, which is also for WWE’s benefit because I’m also stuck in WWE. I’ll always be, ‘that WWE guy is doing this outside project.’ I would never do anything that would betray my deal with WWE because they went out of their way to make sure I was here, I’m happy, I’m stuck, and we’re mutually happy with the contributions from others.”
