Langer accused of cheating to beat Tiger Woods

In the end, the Langers ended up taking the win, relegating the Woods to second place. This was supposed to be a moment of joy, but it quickly turned into controversy due to accusations that began to rain down on social media accusing the Langer team of cheating.

The first to raise the hare about the Langer’s performance was the journalist Paolo Uggetti, who suggested that they could have placed the ball in a bunker to gain advantage: “We know that these are scramble rules, but we need to have a conversation about how Langer literally put his ball in the bunker so he could hit it with the driver. The close-up camera did him no favors!” wrote the informant on X.

This comment caused other users to also publish ‘posts’ in which they joked about the Langer’s behavior. “He’s basically a cheater… why don’t people know yet?” wrote one of them. Another added: “He’s always been a guy on the edge. I still don’t like how he ‘doesn’t’ anchor his putter,” concluded another of them.
