Latest Update on AEW Star Miro Absence

AEW star Miro has returned to the United States after spending a lot of time in his birthplace Bulgaria. The wrestler, who was known as Rusev in the WWE, had travelled to Bulgaria after he ended his marriage to wife CJ Perry and to some extent to heal from a number of wounds.

After these current events, fans have been wondering what exactly is going on and where is Miro in particular in British promotion. As reported by “PWInsider”, Miro found in Los Angeles over last weekend, while “All In” event of AEW was going on at the Wembley Stadium in the UK.

Even so, it did not confirm whether or not Miro’s coming back to the U.S. meant the statement regarding his imminent return to action. His final performance in AEW was in December 2022, when he was defeated by Andrade El Idolo, who was also wrestling his last match for AEW at the time.

Miro Personal Turmoil

Miro and his spouse Lana of WWE parted ways by the end of the year 2023. Perry had debut in AEW and took up the role of Andrade El Idolo’s manager, which set up a storyline conflict between him and Miro.

Subsequently, there were stories claiming that Miro had resurfaced in Bulgaria after their reported separation. This year in April Miro posted a story about his injuries stating that he had been suffering from a shoulder and elbow injury that had been bothering him since September 2023, hence the quit from AEW.

Miro, who is under a four years extension to his earlier contract signed with AEW in the year 2022, first joined the company in 2020 on what he referred to as a discount deal. Although he has all the potential to rival the very best, Miro has never wrestled a match in the year 2024 even when in Bulgaria.

In 2023, for instance, his injuries limited him to only seven matches of which three were before the injuries. The other former TNT Champion also had an ordinary year in 2022 since he was able to wrestle a mere four matches due to missing fights because of being injured.
