
Troy Deeney expects Mauricio Pochettino and Harry Kane to join Manchester United this summer and has tipped Paul Pogba to leave Old Trafford for Paris Saint-Germain.
United are set to appoint a permanent manager at the end of the season, with Ralf Rangnick taking charge of the team on a temporary basis following Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s sacking in November.
PSG boss Pochettino is one of the frontrunners to take over at the Theatre of Dreams and Deeney believes the former Tottenham manager is set for a return to the Premier League.
The Watford legend, now playing at Birmingham City, expects England striker Kane to join Pochettino at Manchester United.
Kane was heavily linked with a move to United’s rivals Manchester City last summer but Tottenham rejected multiple bids to keep hold of the 28-year-old.
In another prediction, Deeney said World Cup winner Pogba could return to his native France and join PSG, who he reckons will be managed by Zinedine Zidane following Pochettino’s potential departure.
‘This summer will kick-off a merry-go-round of strikers changing clubs. It is now the year of the striker,’ Deeney wrote in a column for The Sun.
‘Man City still haven’t got a striker in. Manchester United are in the same boat. Real Madrid and Barcelona are looking to get back on top. Even Arsenal are hoping to break back in.
‘Those buying young are in the rebuild phase. But City, United, Liverpool, Chelsea, haven’t got time to wait three years.
‘For what it’s worth, here’s what I think will happen: Mauricio Pochettino will leave PSG and go to Manchester United, as will Harry Kane.
‘Zinedine Zidane will go to PSG, along with Paul Pogba. Kylian Mbappe will go to Real Madrid.
‘And then, it will be up to Antonio Conte to rebuild Spurs wisely using money from Kane’s…
