Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner to play exhibition match in Mexico

Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner will reportedly meet in an exhibition match in Mexico after the 2023 season ends, per Mexican newspaper ESTO. Alcaraz, 19, and 21-year-old Sinner are building one of the most interesting and entertaining rivalries in the men’s game.
In the offseason, Alcaraz and Sinner will clash against each other at Monumental Plaza de Toros México. Monumental Plaza de Toros México is an iconic venue and has a capacity of 42,000. In the past, the great Roger Federer played an exhibition at Monumental Plaza de Toros México.
Alcaraz on playing against Sinner: I feel something different
Whenever Alcaraz and Sinner meet, the entertainment and great tennis ensue. Last week, Alcaraz and Sinner delivered another great clash. In the Miami semifinal, Sinner recovered from a set down to beat Alcaraz 6-7 (4) 6-4 6-2.
After the match, Alcaraz was asked to describe how it feels playing against Sinner. “Well, first of all, yeah, of course, I feel something different about the crowd when I play against Jannik. You know, I think around the world is probably all the people watching this match because I think it’s really beautiful to watch.
Yeah, it was incredible crowd. You know, I felt the energy, the love from the people when I was down. So for me it’s unbelievable to have this kind of feeling, you know, this kind of support. For me it’s indescribable. But obviously the beginning of the match, Jannik was great.
It surprise me a little bit, you know, the way that he was playing great. So for me, I was thinking that I just stay there and trying to, you know, to get his thoughts, think that he was going to be a little bit down after the beginning of the match, but yeah, he surprised me the level that he started the match,” Alcaraz said after the Miami semifinal against Sinner.
