Thomas Tuchel names player who will be key to Liverpool maintaining gap over Chelsea

Chelsea secured a 1-0 win away to Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon with Hakim Ziyech grabbing the winner with just one minute left on the clock.

Liverpool meanwhile came from a goal behind to beat Norwich 3-1, keeping a seven point gap between themselves and the Blues.

Diaz, a £37million January signing from Porto, continued his impressive start to life in the Premier League with a first goal for the club.

Assessing his side’s chances of catching the Reds, Tuchel said in his post-match press conference: ‘They look very strong. It’s what it is.

‘They have [signed] a huge player in the winter to make their squad stronger and it’s how it is.

‘I will not give in and tell you today that it’s not possible to catch them.

‘There is no other way than to improve our game, improve our style, and to win game after game after game.

‘There is no need to look at Liverpool, Man City or behind. We have enough to deal with and enough to improve. From there we start.’
