Jon Rahm is out of the Top 15 of the ranking


Spaniard Jon Rahm, despite finishing eighth in the BMW Championship, fell back to sixth in the world golf rankings after being overtaken by American Xander Schauffele, whom he had overtaken the previous week.

The table continues to be led by the American Scottie Scheffler with 10.26 points ahead of the Australian Cameron Smith (9.00), while the American Patrick Cantlay, winner this Sunday, has placed third with 8.61 to the detriment of Northern Ireland’s Rory McIlroy (8.14), which falls to fourth place.

Rahm added his eighth top 10 of the season on the American tour at Wilmington by finishing eighth, but was unable to hold on to fifth place as Schauffele finished third. The other three Spaniards in the top 100 in the standings are also losing ground.
