The NBA trade deadline is Thursday, and the buzz around notable players and teams is building.
In a blockbuster deal on Sunday morning, the Los Angeles Lakers traded Anthony Davis, Max Christie and a 2029 first-round pick for Dallas Mavericks’ front man Luka Doncic, Maxi Kleber and Markieff Morris.
Keep an eye on players such as Jimmy Butler, Cameron Johnson and Zach LaVine, who’ll be linked to possible trades. Another star who has emerged in trade talks is Sacramento Kings guard De’Aaron Fox.
One team to watch ahead of the deadline is the Phoenix Suns, who have stayed busy in January, making two trades while remaining in the mix for Butler.
The Brooklyn Nets, who are in the midst of a rebuilding process, made separate trades in December with the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Lakers — two teams led by future Hall of Famers hoping to make one last run at the NBA Finals.
Who else could be on the move between now and the trade deadline? We’ll have the latest reports and news from our NBA insiders from around the league.
