Becky Lynch’s Job Hunt in Manhattan: Seeking Irish Pubs

Before she was Becky Lynch, WWE superstar, straight out of college, she would be trying to look for work in the middle of Manhattan, throwing her Irish features out there in the hope that perhaps some employer would be convinced enough to give her a break and work at a local pub.
Hers was a story of resilience and charisma with which to carve a path in wrestling, all beginning with just $2,000 in the bank. On the very first day in N.Y., some of her first benefits were withdrawn by her referring to the immediate money pressure she landed in by her arrival at that time.
And in an interview with the New York Post, Lynch drove her point to how much she scoured for work in her strategy: “She walked the streets of Manhattan, looking for a business with an Irish flag or a script, hoping their common nationality would provide a clue that might help return it to its rightful place.
From Pubs to WWE
And that’s how she found herself, as fate would have it, in Hibernia Bar in Hell’s Kitchen, which is what some would say is an Irish bar as Irish as the day is long. But her majority strength there, and in all the jobs she takes next, leading her finally to the WWE, is her way with the patrons.
She lands her first job waiting tables. Despite her previous luck in finding the work, Lynch had to persevere in trying to settle down and find somewhat cheap yet decent abode in the city. So thus, her quest went on and on; she finally was blessed and found for herself a room just above another Irish pub, this one recommended by a Kerry bartender.
As it turned out, a place that she was accorded had let her land only some living accommodation just about enough for a twin-sized bed, and a suitcase, with the bathroom shared. It was, however, within her means and gave her somewhere to sleep.
The events would be some sort of testimonial to the hardships she had witnessed and undergone. WWE Universe is on hand to…
