Sinner made honest confession on Alcaraz and Djokovic’s shocking

Jannik Sinner has qualified for the fourth round of the US Open, in a campaign that now sees him as the favorite to win the final, especially after the sensational eliminations of Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic.

With only one set conceded in three matches, the Italian has reached the second week at Flushing Meadows. A clear victory in the third round, that of the ATP No.1 against Australian Christopher O’Connell, defeated with the final score of 6-1, 6-4, 6-2.

In the post-match press conference, Jannik analyzed the progress of the challenge, explaining how he raised the level right from the start of the match.

“I definitely raised the level from the beginning of the match. Every player is different, I think I returned well but I also served much better, especially in the first set. This gave me confidence for the rest of the challenge. I moved well and in general it went better,” said the young Italian

The world number one then focused on his adventure at the US Open, with the intent of improving match after match, but he released a few words on the surprising results that the New York tournament is recording, on all the eliminations of Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz.

“The first goal is to reach the second week and then constantly raise the level. The opponents are getting tougher and tougher and each of them deserves to be there. We have seen many matches with many surprises, which makes us understand that tennis is an unpredictable sport and nothing is taken for granted. You always have to be focused, I look at what happens on my side of the net, every match is difficult and we will see what happens in the next one.
