Nic Nemeth Reflects on WWE Fans Changing Views of Randy Orton


In an amazing interview on “Busted Open Radio,” Nic Nemeth, the former WWE superstar known as Dolph Ziggler, spoke about the transformation of Randy Orton in the eyes of the public. The experienced WWE pro-wrestler played a major role during last night’s “WWE Raw” show when he kicked off with a heated promo against GUNTHER and defeated Ludwig Kaiser at the main event.

Orton’s dynamic aura was so attractive to fans that it was quite contrary to what people used to think about him. Nemeth reflected on how far Orton has come as a wrestler and particularly on how he is now being perceived by his fans.

“To see Randy get [that reaction] yesterday, I was like, ‘Okay, maybe this is one of those things where 10 years went by and all of a sudden the world started shifting on The Miz being good at wrestling instead of just promos,’” says Nemeth.

He gave an example up saying that gradually many more wrestling enthusiasts started respecting Orton for his skills suggesting some transformation in fandom.

Nemeth also said that improved mic work from Orton might play a great part in why people may now be warming up to him again.

“A long time ago, and he’ll say this, his promos weren’t the greatest or the coolest,” recalls Nemeth. Commenting about their playful ribbing which acknowledged Orton’s talents in-ring he clarifies;” And they shouldn’t have been, because he was a snake.

I think, for years,I would bust his balls occasionally (or sometimes rightly) which was fun because I knew how good he was”. Additionally, Randy rejoining WWE late last year after over one year out has contributed to these changes in attitude towards him.

During his time away from TV screens and social networks too there seems to have been a change of heart or attitude as certain opinions started to shift towards him. Orton’s upcoming bout with GUNTHER for the World Heavyweight Championship at the next WWE Bash in Berlin is raising more and…
