In the last speech made by the well-known journalist, Meltzer wanted to emphasize how WWE in recent years has hired only fairly short interviewers, such as Kayla Braxton, who seems almost a child alongside the massive WWE wrestlers.

Now, in the last year, WWE would also be focusing on hiring referees shorter than those already in force on the main rosters, so as to make wrestlers stand out in the ring as well as backstage and in interviews. In his speech to the Observer’s microphone, Meltzer said: “Another way to make talents higher, or look taller, is to put in a directive that hires shorter judges.”

With a simple ploy, the Stamford-based company thinks of emphasizing the work of its athletes, making them look much bigger, taller and more powerful than reality, which WWE has always done over time.
