The Minnesota Wild took on the Seattle Kraken, and thanks to Rem Pitlick’s impressive night, they came out of that matchup with a win.
Pitlick scored his first three NHL goals consecutively to earn a hat trick and to put Minnesota up 3-0 by the end of the second period of play. Pitlick had dressed for 15 NHL games prior to this matchup, but finally found the back of the net to score his first, second and third NHL goal.
In the third period, Marcus Johansson and Alexander Wennberg scored a goal each for Seattle, but it was not enough to stage a comeback from Pitlick’s hat trick.
In net for the Wild was Cam Talbot. Talbot allowed just two goals on 30 shots to post a save percentage of .933 in this game.
On the Seattle end of the ice, Philipp Grubauer continues to struggle. He made 18 saves on 21 shots to end his night with a save percentage of .857.
