Proud I made enough money to provide for my family

Maria Sharapova is proud of the fact that she accomplished her goal of having enough money to provide for her family. Sharapova’s father Yuri had just $700 in his pocket when he arrived to Florida in 1994. Sharapova recalled going to a department store with her family and thinking how nice it would be to one day simply pick what she wanted without worrying about the cost.
“It wasn’t like I thought about money in that way, I thought about accessibility,” Sharapova said during her appearance on the Sports Business Radio Podcast, as revealed on Sportskeeda. “Looking back at that now, I am incredibly proud that I have been able to provide for myself and my family.”
Sharapova wanted financial stability so she could take good care of her family. “It is an accomplishment, but it is a sense of safety, right? It is a sense of I know that I can take care of their health, I can make them happy and that they’re going to be okay,” Sharapova added.
Sharapova invested in Tonal
Before Sharapova decided to invest in Tonal, she asked Tonal’s founder to send her the products so she could try it at home. After Sharapova completed a thorough analysis of the machine, she decided to invest into it.
Tonal is an AI-based smart home gym. “I remember one of the conversations with Aly, the founder of Tonal. I remember telling him, ‘You send me the unit and I will spend four weeks with it and I will do an entire analysis on it’,” Sharapova said.
“I think I am pretty honest in my approach.” Sharapova also recalled shooting the “I feel pretty” advertisement in 2006. “Shooting a big-time production to then go into the US Open and launch it during the US Open and that is the first US Open that I win, it was incredibly special,” Sharapova admitted.
“That is the first commercial that comes on after the match point of the final, that type of alignment does not happen often.”
