Women icon Billie Jean King named to join the Hollywood Walk of Fame

Billie Jean King, former tennis star and icon of LGBTQ+ rights and women’s movements, will receive a great honor: she has in fact been nominated to join the Hollywood Walk of Fame Class of 2024, in the Sports Entertainment category, as the first female athlete to receive the award in the sports entertainment category.Her name will then be imprinted together with that of great actors, who have written pages in the history of cinema and Hollywood.Billie Jean King expressed her happiness at the honor on Twitter: “Thrilled to hear that I’ve been named to the Hollywood Walk of Fame Class of 2024, in the Sports Entertainment category.
