Warner Bros. Discovery Sues NBA, AEW Broadcast Partner in Legal

The NBA’s conflict with Warner Bros. Discovery has escalated, with the latter proceeding to file a lawsuit that brought to an end a long-lasting collaboration having gone for forty years. This follows the announcement by NBA that it had signed new broadcast contracts with Amazon, NBC and ESPN thus ending the previous agreements of AEW’s broadcasting partner company.
In particular, Warner Bros. Discovery argues that it has the contractual right to meet any better offer and in this case, it opted to match what Amazon offered them. The NBA however dismissed this matched offer which prompted Warner Bros.
