Op-Ed: Liv Morgan May Turn Heel After Her Title Reign Ends

WWE superstar Liv Morgan is your current SmackDown Women’s Champion. The Daddio became the champion after cashing in her Money In The Bank briefcase on former champion Ronda Rousey.
Morgan successfully defended it at WWE SummerSlam. The end came with a controversial ending. Liv tapped out before the referee could count to three and call for the bell. Fans chanted the same during last week’s episode of SmackDown, and Liv responded to it. The WWE Universe calls out anyone and is always vocal in sharing their mind. The champion’s comments didn’t seem too kind, and it looks like we may see her turn heel soon.
Liv is a babyface right now, but everything about her speaks heel. Her theme song has a heelish feeling, as does her in-ring gear. She didn’t get the push as a member of the Riott Squad. Ruby Riott and Sarah Logan got a release from the WWE. It paved the way for Liv to speak her mind. The fans had speculated that she would be on her way out too, but that didn’t happen. She constantly interrupted another heel until it was her time to shine. The fans’ support, followed by no other option left, made her the only choice to become the champion.
She didn’t look weak as a champion from the get-go because she had all the skills required to be a champion. Liv was and still is over with the fans. She can wrestle and cut a decent promo on the microphone. She knows how to play along with the vibe, and that’s the most important thing. Is that not hindering her growth in WWE? Liv knows how to be a babyface, but a heel Liv has been missing. Will that change soon, and will Liv turn on the fans?
