In a significant career move, Chad Gable, the celebrated Olympic wrestler turned professional WWE superstar, has officially signed a new contract with WWE, marking over a decade of his wrestling tenure. Gable, being agile and technical, has since become a force to reckon with in the tag team circuit by winning three championship titles with partners Jason Jordan, Bobby Roode, and Otis.

Recently, Gable set his eyes on the esteemed Intercontinental Title.

That brought him numerous intense confrontations with GUNTHER, the longest-serving champion in WWE history for that title. Despite narrowly missing victory on these occasions, Gable’s determination never wavered. His pursuit continued at WrestleMania 40, where he faced off against Sami Zayn, the new Intercontinental Champion, after Zayn’s victory over GUNTHER.

The match concluded in a loss for Gable, setting the stage for a heel turn against his friend Zayn. This storyline twist has propelled Gable into the spotlight for another Intercontinental Title challenge at the upcoming WWE premium live event (PLE).

The wrestling community has buzzed with speculation regarding Gable’s future, especially amid rumors of his expiring contract. However, the leader of Alpha Academy put those rumors to rest by confirming his renewed commitment to WWE in a recent interview with The Gorilla Position.

Gable attributed much of his recent singles success to Paul “Triple H” Levesque, WWE’s Chief Content Officer. He praised Triple H for altering his career trajectory significantly, particularly in his booking as a singles competitor on the Raw brand.

Triple H’s Impactful Promise

Gable recounted his initial skepticism when Triple H promised a consistent on-screen presence, a pledge that has since been fulfilled, revitalizing Gable’s career. “Even if we only had a minute or two every week, we were getting it and we were involved in something, maximizing our minutes,” Gable explained, appreciating the new opportunities.
