Reason why 2025 could be Randy Orton’s last year

Randy Orton is a WWE veteran and has shown that he has total dedication to this business, continuing to compete with rivals much younger than him despite repeated injuries. The last few years have been quite complicated for ‘The Viper’, who had a serious back problem that threatened to end his career.

The former world champion never gave up and faced a long rehabilitation process, until he returned to the ring to the delight of fans and WWE management. Randy was injured again in early November during a match against Kevin Owens and has not appeared on-screen since.

Randy Orton is a true legend

Orton was unable to participate in the first episode of Monday Night Raw on Netflix on January 6, 2025, but it seems that his return is getting closer and closer. According to the latest rumors, the ‘Legend Killer’ will be back on-screen by the Royal Rumble (scheduled for February 1st in Indianapolis).

As everyone knows, Owens will face Cody Rhodes in a ladder match at the Royal Rumble, but it is not excluded that Randy could interfere during that clash and take his revenge against the Canadian champion.

Orton has made history in this business, and 2025 could really be his last year before saying goodbye to professional wrestling. The Viper’s strong personality was not easy to manage at the beginning of his career and Randy had several fights backstage.

On the latest edition of ‘Busted Open Radio’, wrestling legend Bully Ray called Orton a ‘miserable prick’: “Me and Randy have squashed all of our issues, all of our problems. Neither one of us wants to speak a bad word about one another ever again. We have a nice relationship now. Hugging and kissing when we see each other.
