“The hype was huge because no one expected Cody Rhodes to leave All Elite Wrestling to return to WWE,” Jim Cornette began. “In his first WWE appearances, he was presented to fans as an absolute icon.
He had never enjoyed such status during his first venture into the Stamford federation. The response from the public has been excellent so far ”- he added. Cody had left WWE in 2016, quickly establishing himself as one of the best talents around.
“A lot of people criticized him when he decided to leave WWE six years ago, but it must be admitted that he made the right choice. He cut his teeth around the world and proved to Vince McMahon that he made a big mistake in letting him get away.”
